Position Overview: Taxation Specialist

The Ville de Laval is in search of dedicated professionals to enhance its Finance department as Taxation Specialists. This role encompasses a variety of tax-related responsibilities, ensuring the delivery of precise and effective customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the public with inquiries related to taxation and payment modifications;
  • Draft and dispatch pertinent correspondence in response to formal requests;
  • Conduct thorough investigations to address tax adjustment inquiries;
  • Accurately process billing data;
  • Maintain and update tax records as necessary;
  • Manage tax payments and other financial transactions.

Qualifications:

    • DEC in Accounting or a related field;
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service and payment modifications;
    • Experience in cash handling;
    • Exceptional attention to detail and strong customer service abilities;
    • Fluency in French with a good command of English;
  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite.
