Occupational Therapist Opportunity at Lifemark Physiotherapy Wortley Village

We are seeking a well-rounded Occupational Therapist to join our team at Lifemark Physiotherapy Wortley Village, a proud member of Lifemark Health Group, Canada's premier and most comprehensive healthcare management organization.

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians who share your drive and passion. You will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning, educating clients on topics such as pacing, pain, cognitive behavioral strategies, and task modification strategies to help improve function.

Qualifications
  • Registration (member in good standing) with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • New licensed graduates are welcome to apply
  • Previous experience in psychotherapy is an asset
  • Previous experience treating clients with physical and mental health
  • Previous experience supporting auto insurance, long terms disability, and veteran referrals is a strong asset
  • Post-graduate training in concussion and cognitive rehabilitation is a strong asset
  • A valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle is preferred
  • Excellent oral, written, and report-writing skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
Responsibilities
  • Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning
  • Educating clients on topics such as pacing, pain, cognitive behavioral strategies, and task modification strategies to help improve function
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of professionals including physiotherapists, kinesiologists, massage therapists, acupuncturists, physicians, and psychologists
  • Participating in case conferences and case management
  • Utilizing e-charting software to document treatment sessions; submitting reports to stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Managing caseload in a fast-paced environment
