Job Title: Pipe Stress Analysis Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Pipe Stress Analysis Engineer to join our team at Randstad Canada. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing detailed stress analysis of piping systems using industry-standard software and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed stress analysis of piping systems using industry-standard software and techniques to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety codes, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to review and analyze piping layouts, materials, and supports to ensure that designs meet functional and safety requirements.
  • Prepare engineering computations and analyses using applicable software (CAESAR II, etc.).
  • Ensure all analysis and designs conform to applicable codes and standards including ASME B31.1 & B31.3, and any other relevant regulations.
  • Identify potential stress-related issues or design deficiencies and provide solutions or recommendations for improvements.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, analysis results, finding and recommendations.
  • Work closely with team members, project managers, and stakeholders, to address and resolve issues.
  • Review and validate engineering calculations and ensure the accuracy of analysis results and engineering documentation.
Requirements:
  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng).
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in pipe stress analysis or a related field, with a proven track record in performing and interpreting pipe stress calculations.
  • CAD Software proficiency with SolidWorks required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using CAESAR II pipe stress analysis software and strong knowledge of industry codes and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to perform complex calculations and analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with a collaborative approach to solving engineering problems.
