At ZAG Zyklotron AG, we are in search of a Senior Application Architect (Java) to bolster the expansion of our Research and Development division. We seek individuals who are passionate and eager to tackle intricate business challenges. You will become a vital member of a dynamic architecture and development team, crafting next-generation products and establishing the standards utilized across the organization.
As a Senior Application Architect at ZAG Zyklotron AG, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your enthusiasm for architecture while delivering cutting-edge products. You will also mentor development teams and collaborate with a diverse array of technologists. Your role will involve participating in the creation and presentation of technical designs, as well as guiding the architectural direction for various development teams within the company. Your strategic thinking combined with the development of high-performing microservices, in conjunction with the enterprise architecture team, will elevate your career.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Deliver sophisticated solutions leveraging Event Driven Architecture and distributed microservices.
- Guide teams through planning sessions to decompose the product vision into manageable work segments for execution.
- Address complex challenges with sustainable and scalable solutions.
- Establish, oversee, and deliver solutions based on microservice architecture.
- Design, propose, and spearhead the implementation of enhancements for existing applications to achieve a unified architecture across the enterprise.
- Provide mentorship to development teams through code evaluations, documentation, and technical support.
- Influence technical colleagues by introducing innovative frameworks, patterns, and training initiatives.
Minimum Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in developing enterprise applications using Java.
- 5+ years of experience in relational database architecture.
- 4+ years of experience with asynchronous messaging systems (such as Kafka/ServiceMix/TIBCO).
- 4+ years of API design experience utilizing JSON-based RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
- 3+ years of experience in architecting event-driven microservices.
- 2+ years of experience with containerized applications.
- A solid understanding of design patterns.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities as necessary.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
- A strong commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Familiarity with GraphQL and Apollo Gateway is a plus.
- Experience with Java Spring Boot is advantageous.
- Knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms is beneficial.
- Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipeline deployments is a plus.
- Experience with PingFederate for Single Sign-On.
- Familiarity with OAuth and JWT for authentication across applications.
