Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Software Quality Assurance Engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing, with experience in tools like Selenium, Cucumber, and API Testing tools. They will also have a solid understanding of QA methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated tests using various test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Conduct project requirement analysis and support in high-level test strategy creation.
  • Attend JAD and Agile ceremonies and coordinate with QA Lead and Project stakeholders to conduct Functional/Integration/Project Regression tests.
  • Apply various QA techniques, best practices, tools, frameworks, and solutions to test applications developed using various technologies.
  • Responsible for all phases of testing for assigned projects/programs and adherence to SS&C QA CoE processes and audit requirements.
  • Create defects clearly and track them to closure and retest the defects as appropriately required.
  • Periodically report the status of test planning, test execution, and defects via daily/weekly status reporting to QA Lead and Project Manager as appropriate and required.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of working experience in automation projects and technical activities.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber, API Testing tools (SOAP UI/Postman/Newman/Swagger, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge in automation scripting languages like Java, Java/VB Script, Python, etc.
  • Strong knowledge and experience using Test Management tools like JIRA, XRay, Service Now, HP ALM, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Jenkins/Gitlab, Excel macros, Shell Scripting, etc.
  • Working knowledge of QA methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid Agile, BDD).
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • ADA compliance experience.
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing and a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject is a plus.
  • Development experience with Spring Boot and/or Angular frameworks is a plus.
