Position Overview:

The Early Childhood Development Association of PEI is seeking a dedicated individual to support the educational journey of young children in a nurturing preschool setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and executing engaging program plans tailored for preschool-aged children.
  • Documenting children's progress and activities effectively.
  • Ensuring a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Exhibiting reliability and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Communicating effectively with children, parents, and team members, both verbally and in writing.
  • Building strong relationships with children of varying ages, their families, and fellow staff.

Essential Qualifications:

Candidates must hold certification from the PEI Child Care Board. Preference will be given to those with Early Childhood Educator (ECE Level 3) credentials, though applications from Early Childhood Assistants (Level 2) will also be considered. A Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check and First Aid/CPR certification are mandatory.

Experience:

Previous experience in early childhood education is advantageous but not required.
