Responsibilities:

* Assemble and install mechanical equipment
* Coach and instruct apprentices in the maintenance and repair of marine diesel engines
* Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in marine diesel engines
* Repair or replace defective machinery parts
* Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up
* Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
* Install machinery and equipment
* Operate hoisting and lifting equipment

Requirements:

* Physically demanding work environment
* Attention to detail
* Ability to work in confined spaces and all weather conditions
* Excellent oral communication skills
* Team player
