About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Specialist to join our team at 5187720 MANITOBA LTD. as a Pastry Artisan. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough, batters, and icings according to recipes or special customer orders, ensuring high-quality products that meet established standards.
  • Pastry Preparation: Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays, and ensure that all products are visually appealing and meet customer expectations.
  • Baking and Decorating: Bake mixed dough and batters, and frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to a high standard.
  • Special Orders: Prepare special orders, including dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and ensure that all products are prepared to a high standard.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Skills: Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment where you will be working in a bakery setting, preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
