Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to assist our early childhood educators in creating engaging and interactive programs for children. As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and submitting written observations on children.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
Requirements:
  • Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
