Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Peter Green Hall Childrens Centre. As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our children.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers, as well as engaging children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs for children
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree
  • Basic security clearance
  • Criminal record check
  • Child Abuse Registry check
  • Medical exam
  • Immunization records
  • Vulnerable sector check
