Key Responsibilities

  • Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • Inspect materials and sort items or materials into designated areas, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Pull contaminants from the sorting line, maintaining a high level of quality control.
  • Perform cleaning duties related to plant equipment and general housekeeping, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Report system problems immediately to your supervisor, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing downtime.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and surrounding area, adhering to company standards.
  • Maintain an excellent attendance record and an excellent safety and work quality record.

Requirements

  • Able to perform repetitive and physical tasks for extended periods, lifting items up to 25lb.
  • Previous experience as a forklift operator is an asset, but not mandatory; willingness to be trained is required.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, instructions, signs, signals, and safety training.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying weather conditions.
  • Able to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well with minimal supervision and take direction from direct supervisors.
  • Punctual, reliable, and a team player.
