Job Title: Saw Operator/Material Handler

Plainsman Mfg. Inc. is seeking a skilled Saw Operator/Material Handler to join our team in our Machine Shop. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating saws and handling materials with precision and efficiency.

Job Details:
  • Hours: Day shifts available, Monday to Friday, 3:15pm - 11:45pm or 1:45am

Company Description:

Plainsman Mfg. Inc. is a locally owned manufacturing and distribution company operating out of Edmonton, Alberta since 1966. We manufacture and distribute products for oilfield production, pipeline maintenance, construction, and gas and water distribution. Our in-house engineering department and full-service manufacturing facility enable us to respond efficiently to customer and industry needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate saws and other equipment with precision and efficiency
  • Handle materials with care and attention to detail
  • Assist in receiving raw materials and storing them in a safe and organized manner
  • Participate in workflow optimization and contribute to small incremental improvements
  • Engage in their work and be willing to assist in other tasks as directed
  • Adhere to the safety program and prioritize punctuality, organization, and prioritizing workload
How to Excel in the Role:
  • Assist in large-scale projects and contribute to team efforts
  • Participate in other departments as possible, such as receiving raw materials
