About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Spadina Food Inc. as a Food Preparation Specialist. This is a permanent position with a 30-36 hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure efficient operations.
    • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet customer demands.
    • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, adhering to dietary requirements.
    • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitians or chefs.
  • Kitchen Management
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
    • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure quality and safety.
    • Order supplies and equipment to maintain inventory levels.
    • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient operations.
    • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Leadership and Organization
    • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
    • Recruit and hire staff to meet business needs.
    • Organize buffets and banquets to ensure smooth operations.
