Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is dedicated to enhancing patient-centered clinical and preventive health services. The organization also provides province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for health organizations.
Position Overview:
The Physiotherapist will report to the Client Services Manager - Rehabilitation Services and will work autonomously as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. The role involves planning, delivering, and evaluating rehabilitation services with a focus on client-centered and goal-oriented approaches for various populations. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and providing direct interventions.
- Offering consultations and educating clients, parents, and caregivers.
- Delivering services in diverse settings, including acute care, outpatient, long-term care, home, schools, and community environments.
The Physiotherapist may also oversee clinical training for students and provisional members, contributing to the education of other healthcare professionals.
The role requires the exercise of initiative and independent judgment in prioritizing tasks and determining appropriate methods for addressing unique situations. The position aligns with the mission, vision, and values of Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.
Current Caseload: Adults.
Qualifications:
• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy (BMR –PT) or equivalent entry-level qualification in Physiotherapy.
• Active registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba (CPM).
• Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, including Outlook/Email.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues and external agencies.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Respect for cultural diversity and the ability to promote inclusivity.
• Proficiency in both official languages is essential for designated bilingual positions.
• Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the role.
• Commitment to confidentiality in all formats.
• Good work and attendance record.
