Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Darlene's Home Support Services Inc.

Job Summary:

The Personal Support Worker will provide high-quality care and support to clients in their homes, promoting independence and dignity. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Assist in regular exercise, such as walking
  • Change non-sterile dressings
  • Feed or assist in feeding clients
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Plan therapeutic diets and menus
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities
  • Shop for food and household supplies
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Requirements:
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Working Conditions:

The Personal Support Worker will work in a variety of settings, including clients' homes, and will be required to travel to different locations. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
