Job Summary

Options Community Services Society is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Years Consultant to join our team. As an Early Years Consultant, you will play a vital role in enhancing child care services and community resources in the Southern Fraser region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries from families, child care providers, and the public on a wide range of child and family issues.
  • Manage the CCRR lending library, track reservations, and coordinate the pick-up and drop-off of resources.
  • Facilitate registration for workshops and training sessions, and stay updated on child care services and community resources.
  • Provide referrals and assist in the planning of special events.
  • Handle accounting and cash duties in accordance with our policies, and maintain strong communication with internal staff and external partners.

Requirements

  • Early Childhood Care and Education training or a similar combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three years working with young children and their families.
  • Current Level I First Aid Certificate.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in word processing and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of community development and service delivery.
  • Deep knowledge of child care issues and trends.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to develop program materials and work independently.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle.
