About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen environment, preparing and serving food to our customers, and assisting with food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
  • Prepare and serve food to customers, including portioning and wrapping food items
  • Operate dishwashers and other kitchen appliances to wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and flatware
  • Restock refrigerators and salad bars with food and supplies
  • Assist with food preparation, including peeling, slicing, and trimming foodstuffs
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen operation
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in a food service environment is an asset
  • Reliability and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
