Job Summary

College of the Rockies is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team. As a Facilities Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, painting, and repairing facilities
  • Assist with groundskeeping and landscaping duties, including mowing, pruning, and planting
  • Operate and maintain various equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and hand tools
  • Assist with minor plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting tasks as needed
  • Test and monitor fire alarm, security alarm, HVAC systems, and water filtering/testing
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of related building maintenance experience
  • Class 5 Driver's License
  • First Aid Level 1
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in building maintenance
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in groundskeeping and landscaping
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education
What We Offer
  • CUPE Pay Level 4 with a starting wage of $27.78
  • 8% in lieu of vacation
