Job Summary
Tutor Doctor is seeking a qualified Elementary Education Specialist to join our team of dedicated tutors. As a Tutor Doctor Elementary Education Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives by providing personalized tutoring services.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Elementary Education Specialist who can teach and review all content related to specific subjects, including Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, French, and English. The ideal candidate will have a current Ontario College of Teachers Certificate and previous teaching/tutoring/mentoring/coaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Travel to students' homes (pre-screened) to provide one-on-one tutoring sessions
- Schedule consistent weekly tutoring appointments with students or their parents
- Develop and implement personalized tutoring plans to meet students' needs
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and productive tutoring experience
Requirements
- Current Ontario College of Teachers Certificate
- Proficiency in teaching and reviewing all content related to specific subjects
- Previous teaching/tutoring/mentoring/coaching experience, especially exposure to different learning styles
- Access to a vehicle or public transportation
- Availability between 4PM-9PM on weeknights and on weekends
- Open to completing a criminal background check, if not already completed
