Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Elementary Education Specialist to join our team at Holy Family Catholic. As a Grade 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our students, fostering a love of learning, and promoting academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach all subject areas in the Elementary Program of Studies, including literacy, numeracy, and social studies
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve student outcomes
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and technologies

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to teach in the Province of Alberta
  • Proficiency in educational technology and assessment for learning
  • Experience working with Indigenous students and children's social and emotional development
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a rural Catholic community environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Catholic faith
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation
  • Knowledge of educational research and best practices
