You will find fulfillment in this position by:
- Creating innovative mental health program content tailored to the unique needs of diverse client groups
- Utilizing novel methods for delivering mental health services, including digital therapeutic options
- Applying your unique assessment skills across various contexts, from pre-employment evaluations to diagnostic assessments that inform treatment and resource development
- Providing individual and group therapy for conditions such as anxiety, trauma, depression, and interpersonal issues within the client's psychosocial context
- Collaborating with other mental health professionals and interdisciplinary teams
- Participating in internal training sessions and interdisciplinary case discussions
- Contributing to program outcome evaluations at both provincial and national levels
Qualifications and Licensure
- Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology from an accredited institution
- Current registration in good standing with the provincial College/Board of Psychologists (experience with adult populations; clinical experience in counseling psychology, health/rehabilitation psychology, or neuropsychology is an asset)
- Individual professional liability insurance is required upon employment
Relevant Experience
- Conducting psychological assessments with adults for various objectives, including treatment planning
- Delivering evidence-based therapies grounded in cognitive-behavioral approaches
- Experience in developing and evaluating mental health programs is considered an asset
- Working within interdisciplinary teams and with third-party payers is a plus
- Familiarity with telehealth/virtual care methods is advantageous
Additional Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
- Proficient in managing required clinical documentation
- Able to handle a diverse caseload in a dynamic work environment
