About the Role

The Audit Internship/Co-op Program at Scotiabank is a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in audit and risk management. As an intern, you will work closely with our experienced audit team to identify and mitigate risks, update and validate planning and reporting, and support the development of working papers summarizing audit findings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Update and validate planning and reporting to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Populate reporting templates with actual results and ensure timely submission.
  • Support the audit team in tracking and reporting financial metrics.
  • Assist in developing working papers summarizing audit findings and generating reports.
  • Collaborate with the audit team to update risk rating methodologies and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Medium to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
