About the Opportunity:
Federated Co-operatives Limited is seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at the Selkirk Store. As a Meat Cutter, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meat products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare fresh, high-quality meat products for retail sale using a knife and various power equipment.
- Interact with customers, provide recommendations, and answer questions about cuts of meat, including cooking instructions.
- Deliver world-class customer service that is friendly and efficient.
- Prepare marinated meats and other 'value-added' products.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a retail meat department as a meat cutter.
- Formal training in meat cutting, such as the Food Processing (Animal Proteins) program at Assiniboine Community College.
