Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols and respond to incidents during assigned shifts.
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service skills, especially when interacting with individuals in distress or requiring medical assistance.
  • Maintain physical fitness to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Perform a range of preventative and responsive duties, including interior and exterior patrols of the facility.
  • Utilize appropriate force and restraint as directed under relevant legislation.
  • Provide escort services for staff and visitors as needed.
  • Assist with motor vehicle needs for staff and visitors.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all shift activities and service calls.
  • Prepare detailed reports following investigations or significant occurrences.
  • Investigate incidents, review CCTV footage, and respond to door opening requests.
  • Address rule violations and, if necessary, remove individuals from the premises.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as ID badge issuance and lost and found services.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
  • Educational background in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Proof of double COVID-19 vaccination and immunization records.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Level C certification.
