Civil Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at AE INDUSTRIES INC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing construction projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct technical analyses of survey and field data to develop topographic, soil, hydrological, or other information and prepare reports.
  • Develop construction specifications and procedures to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Establish and monitor construction work schedules to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials to ensure quality and durability.
  • Interpret, review, and approve survey and civil design work to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare contract documents and review and evaluate tenders for construction projects to ensure best value for the company.
Requirements:
  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Judgement and problem-solving skills to resolve complex engineering issues.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position with a 30-35 hour workweek. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and have excellent attention to detail.

The primary language of work is English.
