Retail Store Supervisor Job Description

At ONTARIO INC., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they have the necessary skills and training to perform their tasks effectively.
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and ensure accurate financial management.
  • Order merchandise and manage inventory levels to meet customer demand.
  • Authorize return of merchandise and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a retail management role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English.
