New Horizon Co-op is seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at our Trader Ridge Food Store in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
Key Responsibilities- Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat according to specifications
- Wrap, label, and package prepared meats
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries about different cuts, serving sizes, and product-related questions
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist other departments as needed, including unloading freight and stocking shelves
- Strong leadership skills and an enthusiastic approach to work
- Availability to work flexible hours, including morning and evening shifts on weekdays and weekends
- Practical knowledge of daily retail operations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in cool temperatures and able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous Meat Cutting experience is an asset
