Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and mark sheet metal according to templates using precision tools and equipment.
  • Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal to precise specifications.
  • Grind and buff seams, joints, and rough surfaces to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Cut materials using power tools or by hand, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects, ensuring budgetary compliance.
  • Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes, ensuring safety and quality standards.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in sheet metal working.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various locations.
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a physically demanding environment.
