About the Role

CANA Construction Co. Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Safety Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety training programs for employees and contractors
  • Conduct regular site audits to identify and mitigate risks
  • Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with site management teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and contractors on health and safety procedures and protocols
  • Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Monitor and report on safety performance metrics
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in the construction industry
  • NCSO certification and ACSA Peer Auditor Certification
  • Strong knowledge of OH&S legislation and codes of practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
