About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Mechanic to join our team at Cummings Small Engine Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert repair and maintenance services for small engines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Repair Costs
  • Adjust, Repair or Replace Parts using hand tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Test and Adjust Repaired Equipment to guarantee proper functioning.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance Service on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficiency.
  • Advise Customers on work performed and the condition of their equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 5 years or more in a related field
  • Work Site Environment: Noisy, Dusty, and Odorous
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Garden tractors, Gasoline-powered equipment, Lawn mowers
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye coordination, Ability to distinguish between colors, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding
  • Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, Organized, Reliability, Team player, Work Term: Permanent, Work Language: English, Hours: 40 hours per week
