Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs to housing units, buildings, and grounds to ensure a safe and healthy living environment for residents.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and drywall work.
  • Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the exterior of buildings and grounds, including grass cutting, snow removal, and landscaping duties.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize common areas, including lounges, laundry rooms, and public washrooms.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, including after-hours calls and weekend rotations.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and supervisors to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of secondary school.
  • Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a repair worker, maintenance technician, or building maintenance worker.
  • Skills: Proficiency in use of tools and equipment, knowledge of life safety and mechanical systems, and intermediate computer and technology skills.
  • Certifications: Valid and unrestricted Class G Driver's License.
