Job Summary

The Production Planner/Scheduler is a critical role within Keilhauer, responsible for developing and implementing production plans to meet customer demands. This position requires a detail-oriented and analytical thinker who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a rolling Master Production Plan for all products, taking into account production capacity and any backlog.
  • Communicate schedule changes to Plant Managers, Supervisors, Customer Service, and Warehouse personnel as they occur.
  • Make delivery commitments for products, ensuring that uncommitted material and availability of capacity are considered.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain to execute production plans on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Check inventory requirements and schedule production orders based on capacity and parts availability.
  • Notify supervisors/managers about capacity issues that jeopardize company initiatives.
  • Interface with Purchasing to resolve material issues.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in production scheduling techniques and systems.
  • Mechanical knowledge to understand manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Quality Control standards and practices.
  • Understanding of supply chain principles.
  • Ability to fabricate and assemble production schedules effectively.
