Job Title: English On Ground Instructor

Platt College Los Angeles, LLC is seeking a qualified English On Ground Instructor to join our team. As an English On Ground Instructor, you will be responsible for providing quality instruction to students that meet the program and course objectives.

Job Summary:

The English On Ground Instructor is responsible for creating a positive and effective learning environment that imparts the requirements of the relevant workplace setting to existing students. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree and a minimum of 15 semester credit hours/23 quarter credit hours in related subject area that supports the General Education curriculum content.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality instruction to students that meet the program and course objectives.
  • Maintain an organized, disciplined classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
  • Impart the requirements of the relevant workplace setting to existing students.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of adult learners.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree Required.
  • Minimum of 15 semester credit hours/23 quarter credit hours in related subject area that supports the General Education curriculum content.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in field of instruction for GE classes preferred.
Employment Status:

Adjunct, hourly, non-exempt.

Adjunct faculty hours are determined by the scheduled courses in a particular module. Adjunct faculty are scheduled as needed with no guarantee of hours at any time and scheduled hours are generally under 25 per week.
