About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team at A-CLASS UPHOLSTERY LTD. as a key member of our furniture restoration department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Upholstery and Furniture Restoration: Replace worn-out webbing, springs, and other furniture parts to ensure high-quality finishes.
  • Design and Installation: Lay out, cut, fabricate, and install upholstery to meet customer specifications.
  • Trim and Finishing: Tack, glue, or sew ornamental trim, braids, or buttons to add a touch of elegance to our restored furniture.
  • Furniture Repair and Refinishing: Repair furniture frames and refinish wood surfaces to their original glory.
  • Sewing and Fabrication: Operate sewing machines or sew by hand to create custom upholstery and soft furnishings.
  • Attention to Detail: Garnish the bottom and back of a seat with interwoven rattan to add a touch of sophistication.
Requirements
  • Manual Dexterity: Possess excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills to handle delicate upholstery tasks.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality finishes and attention to customer specifications.
  • Physical Capabilities: Be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
