Position Overview:
We are in search of a proficient Infrastructure Modeling Specialist to become a vital part of our team at Parsons Corporation. In this position, you will work closely with the BIM Manager and Project Delivery Teams to create comprehensive models for a variety of infrastructure initiatives. The successful candidate will demonstrate substantial technical knowledge in CAD/BIM software to produce precise 3D/2D models for design integration and construction evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the BIM Manager and Project Delivery Team with daily BIM operations
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve design modifications and modeling issues
- Generate Civil3D templates, subassemblies, and intelligent blocks
- Develop alignments, profiles, and corridors
- Conduct cut & fill assessments and quantity extractions
- Establish and manage the Common Data Environment (CDE)
- Ensure adherence to quality control and project standards
- Execute clash detection and validation procedures
- Prepare models for constructability assessments
- Verify asset information models and data collection
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM Modeling on significant projects
- Experience with Rail & Transit projects is preferred
- Proficiency in BIM authoring tools such as Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, etc.
- Experience in Canada is advantageous
