Opportunity for a Rheumatologist

We are seeking a skilled Rheumatologist to join our team at Island Health. As a member of our community, you will have the opportunity to work in a full-time, outpatient-based practice, providing comprehensive care to adult patients with various rheumatic conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultative services to patients with rheumatic diseases, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of conditions such as arthritis, lupus, and vasculitis.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Participate in the Rheumatology Rapid Access to Consultative Expertise (RACE) line, providing telephone advice to patients and healthcare providers.
  • Contribute to the Vancouver Island Rheumatology Association (VIRA) and participate in journal clubs, guest speaker presentations, and complex case discussions.
  • Engage in research and teaching opportunities, including participation in the University of British Columbia Division of Rheumatology weekly rounds.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for licensure in British Columbia.
