Position Overview

The electromechanical technician plays a crucial role in the upkeep, adjustment, and repair of all electrical systems utilized within the organization. This position is essential for ensuring the optimal performance of production machinery and executing necessary repairs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Monitor equipment performance and, in collaboration with operators or supervisors, assess the nature and severity of electrical, pneumatic, or electronic issues;
  • Install, fix, or replace faulty components using the appropriate tools, manufacturer guidelines, and schematics;
  • Diagnose electrical issues, identify root causes, and propose effective corrective actions to prevent future occurrences;
  • Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, as well as various electrical tasks on different types of electrical systems (low, medium, and high voltage) and process control equipment;
  • Identify required parts and estimate quantities needed for maintenance tasks;
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams;
  • Assist in resolving issues related to equipment efficiency and enhancements;
  • Document work completed in detailed reports;
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace;
  • Ensure all equipment operates correctly and report any issues to the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

A college degree in industrial electronics technology, control instrumentation, or electrodynamics is required;
- Experience in an industrial setting is preferred;
- Possession of an electrical certificate CÉ (C license) is advantageous;
- Must be dynamic, self-sufficient, and adaptable to change;
- Availability for variable working hours (shifts) is necessary;
- Strong problem-solving abilities;
- Analytical thinking skills are essential.
