- Inspect vehicle conditions, including tires, lights, and brakes.
- Handle financial transactions for goods.
- Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
- Carry out preventive maintenance on vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with central dispatch.
- Document cargo details, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage.
- Ensure safety and security of cargo through proper tarping.
- Transport and manage hazardous materials safely.
- Possession of an AZ class license is required.
- Familiarity with accident reports, bills of lading, and driver logbooks.
- Knowledge of inspection and maintenance reports.
- Understanding of trans-border documentation and trip reports.
- Experience operating GPS and navigation systems.
- Local, long-haul, and short-haul driving experience.
- Verification of driver's license validity and driving record.
- Completion of drug testing.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle heavy loads.
- Capacity to manage a large workload and work overtime.
- Physical demands include repetitive tasks and prolonged sitting.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Flexibility and sound judgment.
- Organizational skills and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
