Job Title: Experienced Pipefitter - 4th Year Apprentice

Location: Richmond, BC

Project Type: Water Infrastructure

Schedule: Monday to Friday, with options for Day or Night shifts and overtime opportunities

Compensation: $41.26 to $45.84 per hour

Accommodations: Local Only

Travel Requirements: Not Applicable

General Contractor: Graham

Partner Organization: Technical Workforce Inc.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and analyze drawings, blueprints, and specifications to establish layout requirements
  • Utilize hand or power tools to create openings for pipes in walls, floors, and ceilings
  • Determine the appropriate type and size of piping needed
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to achieve the required configurations using various tools
  • Assemble pipes and construct sections of the piping system
  • Install supports, valves, piping, and control mechanisms
  • Conduct leak tests and maintain piping units and fittings
  • Replace worn components as necessary
  • Install large boring pipes, valves, and fixtures in wastewater treatment facilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for plumbing configurations

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Pipefitter Certificate or Registered 4th Year Apprentice or Journeyperson Plumber
  • CSTS 2020, OSSA Fall Protection, Confined Space, WHMIS 2015, EWP Training
