About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team at Northern Rockies Farms Ltd. as an Agricultural Laborer. This is a permanent position that requires a strong work ethic and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply the technique of hoeing between rows to maintain crop health and promote growth.
  • Harvest seedlings and crops, ensuring they are of high quality and ready for market.
  • Mix and apply fertilizers to promote soil fertility and crop growth.
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, ensuring they receive the necessary care and attention.
  • Fertilize and spray crops to control pests and diseases.
  • Harvest crops, loading and unloading them from equipment and storage facilities.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Perform general farm duties, including cleaning work areas and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Examine products for quality and readiness for market, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.
  • Load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce, livestock, and poultry.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically demanding work, requiring the ability to handle heavy loads and work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
