We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to join our team for a 4-month co-op/internship. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our software systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and test low to moderately complex code changes to fix identified defects in existing software products.
- Troubleshoot low to moderate defects within code and provide input into and perform actions as designated in the remediation plan.
- Assist in the development of requirements with product management and architects and provide recommendations to enhance design to prevent recurring defects.
- Participate in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized initiatives to come up with high-level design.
- Assist and provide additional support in solving software/systems monitoring issues and escalations which require moderate technical expertise to troubleshoot.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in artificial intelligence, data science, computer science, Earth sciences, mathematics, statistics or a related field.
- Available to work with us 35 hours per week for the duration of the co-op/internship.
- Available to work from the office 2 days a week and 3 days from home.
- Must be returning to school in Fall following the co-op/internship.
- Practical experience in data science, machine learning or deep learning.
- Practical experience with Python or R programming languages.
- Understanding of data science approaches in financial services (an asset).
- Knowledge of AWS, Cloud and Terraform (an asset).
- Sequal and CICD (an asset).
- Bilingualism is ESSENTIAL (French and English).
