Corporate Controller Job Description

Amalgamated Dairies Limited (ADL) is a leading producer-owned cooperative with dairy processing plants and a retail food distribution facility across Prince Edward Island (PEI). As a Corporate Controller, you will play a critical role in leading our Finance Team and driving financial strategy, compliance, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor accounting teams across all company locations.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management to develop and drive financial strategies.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards and tax regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of internal and external accounting reports, including audited financial statements and tax returns.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Provide strategic guidance on regulatory compliance, information system needs, and capital expenditure planning.
  • Consult with public accountants on audits, tax preparation, and financial reviews.
Requirements:
  • CPA designation required.
  • Strong background in accounting systems, budgeting, internal controls, and business planning.
  • Commitment to excellence and detail-orientation, with the ability to deliver accurate information and balanced analysis in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and accounting-based software.
