About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Material Handling Specialist to join our team at CB Canada. As a Material Handling Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and material handling processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Production: Deliver raw materials to converting lines as required using forklift, box clamp, or roll clamp.
  • Material Handling: Read and interpret labels to ensure accuracy of materials being delivered, strap and remove all paper and cores from lines, and ensure proper pallets are in place for the LGV area.
  • Scrap Management: Remove finished pallets from stretch wrapper and stage for loading, load shredder, weigh, and load bales, and remove, unload, and return scrap bins for production.
  • Quality Control: Ensure bale quality is maintained and correct any bales not to specifications, maintain records for shipping of scrap material, and sort and warehouse overflow bales.
  • Maintenance and Safety: Operate and maintain shredding machinery/baling room, work in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures, and inspect equipment daily for operational or safety deficiencies and report any adverse findings to management.

Requirements:

  • Education: Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and follow production schedule, ability to lift up to 50 LBS/27 KG, demonstrated listening and communication skills, strong motivation with the ability to work independently or as a team member, and current Fork Lift certification and experience with roll and box clamp an asset.
