The culinary specialist will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, cooking, and portioning meals while ensuring efficient use of ingredients. Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare, season, cook, and portion meals while maximizing ingredient usage;
- Monitor food inventory;
- Assist in menu development with designated resources;
- Procure food supplies and manage purchases;
- Standardize recipes for consistency;
- Ensure quality and visually appealing presentation of meals;
- Properly store leftovers;
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen;
- Ensure kitchen equipment is in proper working order;
- Perform additional related duties as required.
Availability: Candidates must be available during daytime, evening hours, and alternate weekends.
This position requires good physical stamina due to the demands of standing and lifting.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a DEP in culinary arts;
- Adherence to MAPAQ hygiene regulations.
