Job Title: Server

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Server to join our team at Aspira Island Park Retirement Living. As a Server, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide attentive and courteous service to residents, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining area, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation under the direction of the Chef.
  • Promote and track a la carte and wine service sales in accordance with prescribed procedures.
  • Comply with all provincial regulations, established food and beverage department policies and procedures, and ORCA standards to ensure the department is tour-ready.
  • Participate in drills to prepare for emergencies and attend all education sessions in relation to emergency preparedness.
Requirements:
  • Must have the Smart Serve designation or Serve It Right (SIRS) designation (for Saskatchewan locations) and one year experience in dining room service.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
  • Safe Food Handling Certification preferred.
  • Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process an asset.
  • Proven customer service skills to work with residents of various cultural backgrounds.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills required.
