Job Summary:

The Gas Station Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our gas station, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes managing sales workers, hiring and training staff, authorizing payments, ordering merchandise, and resolving customer complaints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that they are working efficiently
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to meet the needs of the gas station
  • Authorize payments by cheque and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date
  • Order merchandise and ensure that it is delivered to the gas station in a timely manner
  • Authorize return of merchandise and ensure that all returns are processed correctly
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities
  • Sell merchandise and ensure that all sales are accurately recorded
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to help inform business decisions
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that the gas station is always stocked with the necessary merchandise
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a retail business setting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
