Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Job Description

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is a pivotal role at the Environmental Operators Certification Program (EOCP), responsible for leading the organization to achieve its strategic goals and ensuring its efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the organization's vision and oversee the certification programs
  • Build key relationships and ensure financial stability
  • Lead a high-performance team and inspire professional development
  • Uphold and promote EOCP's vision and mission
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of certification programs
  • Act as a liaison with Water Professionals International (WPI)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., public health, environmental science, business administration)
  • At least 10 years of leadership experience in a related field, preferably within the water/wastewater industry
  • Strong business management acumen and understanding of strategic planning
  • Project Management certifications through a recognized association (PMP, IAP2) considered an asset
