About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Chacha G Construction Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the construction process, including loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, ensuring that they are applied correctly and to the required specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance work, including cleaning and piling salvaged materials.
  • Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites, ensuring that the site is left in a safe and clean condition.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, ensuring that they are properly maintained and operated.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring that the site is safe and accessible for all personnel and visitors.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Will train on the job, providing you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in this role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment, with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting, carrying, and bending.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week. The work will be based at various construction sites, with occasional travel to other locations as required.

Language

The primary language spoken in this role is English.
