Job Opportunity:

Gpac is seeking a highly skilled Law Firm Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our law firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Processing: Manage payroll processing, including data entry, calculations, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Full Cycle Accounting: Perform full cycle accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
  • File Closing: Ensure accurate and timely file closing, including preparation of closing documents and coordination with clients.
  • Legal Compliance: Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax laws and financial reporting requirements.
  • Records Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including financial records, personnel files, and client information.
  • Trust Accounting: Manage trust accounting functions, including preparation of trust accounts and coordination with clients.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and clients, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Tax Reporting: Prepare and submit tax returns and other tax-related documents, including W-2s and 1099s.
  • Supervision of AP/AR Processes and Staff: Supervise and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including staff supervision and training.
  • Year-End Accounting Processing: Perform year-end accounting processing, including preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage benefits administration, including payroll processing and coordination with benefits providers.
  • Auditing of Payroll and Processes: Conduct regular audits of payroll and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Resolution of Payroll Issues or Discrepancies: Resolve payroll issues and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills, including written and verbal communication, to effectively interact with clients, staff, and management.
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships, including subscription services and other external providers.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ Years of Experience: Possess at least 3 years of experience in a law office setting, preferably in a similar role.
  • Accounting or Finance Degree: Hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Designation: Possess a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation, preferred but not required.
  • Payroll Processing and Management Experience: Possess experience in payroll processing and management, preferably in a legal or regulated industry.
  • In-Depth Knowledge of Payroll Laws and Regulations: Possess in-depth knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Payroll Software and Microsoft Excel: Possess proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in Leap: Possess proficiency in Leap.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Possess exceptional communication skills, including written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to Handle Confidential Information: Possess the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
