Job Summary:

Sunwest Aviation Ltd. is a leading Western Canadian operator of jet and turboprop charter aircraft. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot, DH8 to join our team.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position responsible for performing the duties and responsibilities of a Flight Officer, DH8. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Chief Pilot and will be responsible for:

• Performing the duties and responsibilities as required on the specified aircraft.
• Adhering to all safety regulations as per company requirements, Transport Canada, CARs, etc.
• Other duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot and/or Deputy Chief Pilot.

Requirements:

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Must possess a valid Commercial Pilot License and Airline Transport Pilot License or IATRA exams written.
• Hold a PPC (Pilot Proficiency Check) and maintain currency for an airplane in the responsible aircraft grouping.
• 1,000 hours Total Time.
• 100 hours PIC.
• 500 hours Multi-engine.
• Preference will be given to candidates with time on type.
• Excellent customer service abilities.
• Good decision making and problem solving abilities.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adhere to the safety accountabilities as per Sunwest's Safety Management System manual.
